The Tembo House Hotel is situated in the heart of Stone Town of Zanzibar at the Picturesque seafront only half a kilometer from the harbor and about 10 to 15 minutes driving from The Airport. The building changed its function from time to time over the past years, first as American Consulate in 1834 and later in 1884 it become the premises of Cowasjee Dinshaw and Partners the then famous Trading Companies in the western Indian Ocean. That name can still be visible on one of the main entrance of the hotel.
