Amaan means peace in Kiswahili language which is the national language of Zanzibar people. The hotel is located in Zanzibar’s best prestigious sand beach in the northern side of the Island. Amaan Bungalows' rooms have been divided up into 4 categories 5 front sea view located on a sea cliff these rooms features private balconies ensuite bath room hot and cold water facilities :

• 10 standard rooms just behind the sea front which are referred to as type A
• 14 garden view rooms a little bit far from the sea front. This room category is called the type B with also en-suit bath room
• 10 “C” type rooms and are far much behind the sea front. These cattagory don’t have en-suite bath room and therefore offer sharing sanitation facilities
• the type “D” are too basic primarily for very low budget clients
