Spice tour
Drive to the spice farms about 15 kms from Stone Town
driving through local villages surrounded by coconut
palms. On the way visit Livinstone House, in which
this great explorer lived while planning for his
trip to the interior of Africa in 1866.
Then visit to Marhubi palace ruins and visit Kidichi
Persian bath, built by the First Sultan of Zanzibar
Sayid Said bin Sultan. This sultan ruled Zanzibar
from 1804-1856.
After this you will have the opportunity to see, smell
and taste spices like cloves, cinnamon, cardamon,
black pepper, nutmeg,lemon grass etc., and some fruits
which are cultivated on the island.
Lastly you will get to see the Historical Slave Caves
and relax on a white sand beach, before driving back
to your hotel.
